Methods

A diver quantified the percentage cover of all sessile species in two 0.25 m2 quadrats placed on each side of the transect (i.e. right and left) at each monitoring station (n=20 quadrats/station per transect). Percentage cover was estimated using random point contact (RPC) with 81 intersection points per quadrat recording primary and secondary cover. 2 quadrants each 10 m on either sides of the transects. 5 station Unit of abundance = NA, Unit of biomass = Cover
