Fish were sampled by electrofishing 100-m stretches (200350 V, 23 A, fully rectifiedtriphasic DC), following the CEN standard (CEN2003)." "All fishes stunned were collected with nets, anaesthetised with tricaine methanesulfonate (MS-222), identified to species, counted, measured (fork length in mm) and then returned to the stream."
